Thanks to xpadder the view switch is on the same button of the xbox360 gamepad. Update: now i use external view to know what is going on, and virtual cockpit to aim the enemy. Anyway i can't stand with this view, is lethal for enemies and even for my eyes. Then, a fortiori, mouse emulation for pad is needed. WT becomes a heavily constrained fps, ehm… a 3rd-person shooter xD. The mouse aim is highly optimized for external view. I just found that external view (i always used the virtual cockpit) is lethal with a mouse. This mode will be enabled by a set selector in "two way mode".
Define a base set on xpadder, the mouse speed to control the mouse should be: not too huge, the mode should be "cursor".Define the mouse aim control in the game, as you want to play with kb+mouse.Then my solution is: emulate the mouse with the gamepad throught xpadder (only 7 euros, even if xpadder 1 5.3 is a good old version freeware) with the following settings. In WT, with the good plane control allowed by mouse aim, is quite hard to fight back mouse aimers and moreover mouse aimers don't want to switch to gamepads/joysticks.

I love to play flight simulators with the xbox 360's gamepad, that is really helpful is some simulators like combat flight simulator 3. Feel like a sort of constrained first person shooter and i don't like it (there is alway quakelive around there, that is the best mmo fps). Anyway mouse aiming, when a pilot knows his plane and set a good sensitivity, is too easy. This is quite good (i suggest some wobbling for mouse aimers or a lot more reward for joystick/pad users) to appeal a large audience. The realism in arcade mode is really low, so a plane driven with mouse aim can do a lot of dangerous things (in terms of accuracy and not plane control).
